Well this is just as easy as posting to Facebook, right? Wrong! It’s not just a matter of creating good content, it’s also getting it out to the people you want to see it. You have to find your target audience. The people out there that are actually looking for what you provide to them. This is known as Target Marketing, and it’s a common practice, even in regular advertising on the street.
Posting ads and other content to websites like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other social media websites is a great way to draw attention to your business. It is also a great way to determine who is actually interested in your business. You can put your business out there in many ways with it, and the people that want to buy from you, or use your services will flock to you. This is of course given that you post something that interests them. If you post nothing but ads then your possible customers will ignore you like you’re the plague.
Discounts can drive traffic to your business, but don’t forget to share with your audience. For instance, if you deliver pool water, you may wish to feature a post about caring for a pool. Or if you clean carpets, you might link to a manufacturers site blog regarding preventing carpet stains from becoming permanent blemishes to a rug
It’s also important to post at times when you know your target audience is online. If your target audience is asleep at three in the morning, then that is not the time to post your content. They may still see it but it is unlikely if they have a busy Facebook or Instagram feed. Continue reading “Promoting Your Business Online”
It is that thing that gets your business’s website ranked on Google Being “Googleable” is one of the important aspects of your business these days. Whether it is your website you want people to find, or just your contact information like phone numbers, or email addresses. Most people these days look up businesses online before visiting them, or using them; So even your business’s reviews are rolled into this. Search engines take everything into account before ranking your website and are constantly re-ranking it to fit the SEO you have.
Well, it does take some attention to detail, to say the least about it. Every page on your website should be up to good SEO standard, but what does that mean exactly?
Every page should have at least 300 words on it with information.
Every page should have an SEO keyword(s) set for it.
Those keywords need to be on every page at least 3 times, and not just in the text, but also the page title, and a sub-heading preferably.
You need to get visitors to your website, and then get them to stay there for a little while.
Alright, so how do you manage all that? Well, you don’t have too. You can hire someone, in person or virtually to do all that for you. How is it done though? Well pages like “About Us” should have 300 words about you and/or your business. It should all be relevant information at that. Set an SEO keyword that makes sense for your business and that page. Interesting information or an interesting blog is also a plus when it comes to keeping people on your page for more than three seconds. Continue reading “What Is SEO Again?”
Before You Start
Okay, so you might have collected a lot of data on a new product or a new task strategy. This might be from a beta test or from a survey. What do you do with it though? Collecting data is just one of the steps in the entire process. Analyzing the data, and making a sound decision is definitely the difficult part. After all, a poor decision could cost you, literally.
Even if you’re raking in the huge profits, you still don’t want to lose any money, and if you have a problem with a product or task strategy, then you want it solved as quickly as possible. If something is costing you money, then you want to deal with it even sooner than if you were just in the development stages of something new. Speed can certainly be your enemy in either situation though, as a rushed decision based on a poor analysis can leave your business reeling. So let’s go through the steps required to make a good and informed decision.
When you first open your new business, you make a lot of mistakes that you learn from. That is the way life works is you mess up, then you learn from that screw-up. We took a survey some of our business associates of common mistakes and compiled a list of some easy to address mistakes. Businesses learn over time goes on and you advance over the years. Here are some tips for anyone planning to start a business, or if you recently started one. regardless of the type of business or the type of service you provide customers. Let’s roll out the tips to help your business startup!
You need to be sure of the purpose your brand is trying to convey. It also needs to be set as a single purpose. Your company needs to know what its purpose is. Whether you are a tree cutter, a hauler, a pool company, supplier, or something else entirely; you need a purpose for your brand and it needs to be clear. You don’t want potential customers to be confused as to what the focus of your company is.
Fire the employees that are not working out instead of letting the hang in there. When you have someone that doesn’t work it hurts the rest of the team. You will create a strain on the good workers and you may lose them to frustration. Tell new employees that they have to go through a trial or probationary period before they are hired permanently. After the trial period, they will be assessed and you can see what they think of you and you can discuss what you have seen from them.
What do you want to charge for your services? Do you charge a flat fee, an hourly rate? You need to know how you want to charge for the services that you provide. Don’t try and find this out as you go along. Work hard on what your costs and the time it took you too do the job. Were you out in the sun for hours working on a project outside? Know your costs. It will save you time in the long run and a headache.
This may seem selfish, but it is not. All too often clients “suddenly are out of money” and can’t pay you for the work that you have done. This is a terrible way to do business. Once you have had several clients that just didn’t pay or paid partially… It is a mistake you will never make again, full amount or bust.
This should be an obvious situation, but when you are low on customers it gets hard not to be tempted when you are low on clients and cash. This makes you a little desperate. The lower the price you give the clients the more likely that it will be that you will have a client that gives you unrealistic demands. If you provide a good service you are worth the money.
Are you sick of working for someone else while just not making ends meet? Or maybe you are looking to take your tired old business and branch out in a new direction or add another revenue stream to your existing income. Well, a lot of individuals and business owners are taking the opportunity to go into business or expand their business. So what is stopping you? Oh… You don’t have any decent business ideas? Well, we can help you with that. There are a lot of them out there, but some are simply better than others, and some are what we call prime business opportunities. These are business ideas that have the best chance of not only making it but making a decent profit. So let’s get into it.
This may seem like an odd choice, but it really isn’t. People are putting down cigarettes faster than big tobacco companies can flinch or scream in terror. They are leaving smoke behind for a little thing called vapor. Electronic Cigarettes are all the rage right now, and the market for them is expanding faster than pretty much anything else out there on the market. The best part is that you will have repeat customers! You see you can’t just buy an e-cig and be done with it, you’re going to need to replace its coils, and buy liquid for it on a regular basis. That and nothing lasts forever, this includes e-cigs. So this is a prime business opportunity for sure!
We know, most people think this is more of a family business idea that has to pass down from generation to generation, but that really isn’t the case. Even with as eco-friendly as we have become, there still no end to the solid waste we produce. So it would make sense that we always need more people to do it. Sure it is a dirty job, but it is also where the money is. I’m pretty sure that this will be a prime business idea for a long, long time to come. We would say to jump in feet first, but that is probably a very bad idea.
Okay so this one is going to take some schooling on your part unless you already have an electrician’s license, but it will make you a lot of money. The best part is, there is no end to it. We’re always building new structures, and you can bet that the old ones need repair from time to time. This one requires a strong work ethic though, and a lot of concentration, for obvious reasons. Let’s just say that the results of not having a steady hand can be… electrifying.
Seriously, plumbing isn’t a nice thought, but it is a big money maker, both of which for very obvious reasons. If you don’t mind getting your hands dirty… or the rest of you dirty, then this might be your next endeavor. Sure you could work for someone else, but you can fairly easily start your own plumbing company, and decide how much money you get personally. This certainly isn’t for the faint of heart though. Unlike the solid waste removal though, you may actually have to jump into something feet first, but you’ll get paid well for it!
So do you think there are enough convenience stores out there? Well so do I, at first glance. Then you start looking at interstate exits out in the boonies, and you realize there’s room for a few more. The best part is, you get to charge double what everything is worth! Seriously though, you could even be cleared by the health department, and sell your own recipes as hot meals. Just think of all the creative things you could do while making money, and owning your own little store.
There is a lot of money to be made off of the internet, but you have to know what to look for to get it. You also have to have a certain set of skills that you can learn. Blog writing, content writing, and other forms of writing for people through the internet is one way. Another is building websites. This may sound complicated, but it really isn’t at all. Anyone can learn to type. Writing is just having an imagination. Website building just takes some knowledge of a few website builders, and some patience. Sound difficult? I didn’t think so. There are all sorts of small tasks that you can do for someone, even from another state or country! The money you will make depends on your skill, and how well you talk to people.
